Lourdes Reyes Profile:


Lourdes Reyes - Rosas is an internationally known baker and 3D gelatin dessert artist with almost 20 years of experience teaching:

-        3D Gelatin Desserts – Her own technique with more than 70 beautiful and tasting designs.
-        Wilton Method Cake Decorating
-        Sugarpaste
-        Gumpaste Flowers and modeling
-        Artistic Chocolate
-        Cookie Decoration
-        Gingerbread houses and cookies
-        And many other courses of her own creations.

She is an active member and authorized teacher of ICES (International Cake Exploration Societe) and participates as a demonstrator and vendor in annual cake shows in the United States.  She is now the ICES Representative for Mexico. She participated at the Wedding Cake contest in 2006 at the Oklahoma Sugar Art Show, where she obtained a Silver finalist position in the Wedding Cakes Around the World Contest.  Her cake’s picture has been published in the book Decadent Details and in many magazines and newspapers.  In 2005, she participated at the RBA National Convention celebrated in Chicago, IL where she was invited by Kerry Vincent to give a hands-on demonstration.  She also won First place in the Gelatins Contest in Mexico City in 1997. In 2010 obtained 5th place with her creation “Captured in Time” in the Steampunk Cakes contest at the Cake Central website.

She was nominated by the Desserts Professional magazine as one of the Top Ten Cake Artists for 2011. And in 2011 became part of the cake artists for Satin Ice.

Lourdes’ desire to share her knowledge has brought her to many international locations including the United States, Peru, UK, and of course, her native Mexico.  Her collaborations have appeared on catalogs, and national and international magazines such as American Cake Decorating, Pastry’s Best Magazine, Alta Gastronomia, Pan Magazine and many others.  Her TV appearances include FOX (USA), Univision (USA), Hola Peru (national Peruvian TV), and Mexican national and cable TV programs such as Un Nuevo Dia, Hoy, Nuestra Casa, Cada Mañana, Club 4 TV, and Cable Club.

Her creations include the Miss Mexico 2006 Pageant’s cake which was featured in national newspapers and TV programs.  She has also been commissioned to create master pieces for Duche (gelatin manufacturer) Importadora Alegria, Mexican Pediatric Association, Galerias Plaza, Televisa and some Mexican personalities.

Alan Dunn Profile:



Alan Dunn, started cake decorating about 20 years ago.  He taught himself initially from books and then attended several sugar flower classes.  Alan then went on to study the City & Guilds Bakery & Flour Confectionery Courses and it was during this period that he gave his first demonstration to the Gateshead Branch of the British Sugarcraft Guild.  He soon realized that he loved demonstration and teaching which later led him to be trained as an accredited demonstrator for the Guild. 

He has now become one of the top sugarcraft’s world leading authors, well liked and respected for his artistic talents in producing lifelike sugar and cold porcelain flowers. Author of 15 books on cake decorating in the art of sugar flowers and cold porcelain, he has also taught extensively throughout the UK, in the USA, Canada, Japan, Holland, Sweden, The Channel Islands, Brazil, South Africa, Australia and in New Zealand.  He will also be making his first appearance in Malaysia in October 2011. 
He also regularly contributes to The British Sugarcraft Guild newsletter, Cakes and Sugarcraft magazine, Cake Decoration and  recently the American Cake Decorating Magazine.

Lorraine McKay Profile:

Debbie Brown Profile:

 

 

Debbie Brown is a cake decorator, demonstrator, tutor and author of cake decoration and sugarcraft, with many books published on novelty/sculptured cakes. Based in Ashford, Middlesex, on the Surrey/West London border area, she is the UK's best-selling author of character and novelty cake books.
Debbie started cake decorating when her children were very small, mainly as a creative outlet. The very first cake was a train with carriages filled with sweets. A new career went on from there, making cakes for special occasions which led on to commissions, books, magazine articles, teaching and demonstrating, sometimes around the world, and television.  She is also in demand at specialist cake decorating shops, sugarcraft groups and clubs, colleges and schools around the world, who also organise demonstrations and workshops where her skills are taught.

Eddie Spence Profile:

 

 

Eddie Spence MBE started his career as an apprentice baker for J W Mackie in Edinburgh. He then went on to study confectionery and cake design and began teaching the skills he had learnt at a wealth of prestigious colleges, including Napier College in Edinburgh, Kedleston College and Wilmorton College in Derby. Eddie’s renowned royal icing skills have earned him the opportunity to decorate many cakes for the royal family, including Her Majesty the Queen’s golden wedding anniversary cake. He also won the British Open Confectionery Trophy and was awarded an MBE in 2000. Eddie has been teaching at Squires Kitchen’s International School of Cake Decorating & Sugarcraft in Farnham, England for over 15 years.

Peggy Porchen Profile:





Fascinated by baking and cake decorating from childhood, Peggy moved from her home in Germany to London in 1998 to study at the famous Le Cordon Bleu.  Having completed her “Grand Diploma of Cuisine & Patisserie”, Peggy worked as a pastry chef at London’s Lanesborough Hotel and Rhubarb Food Design followed by a position as a cake decorator for German master baker, Gerhard Jenne, proprietor of Konditor & Cook.
Peggy set up her own business in 2003 and founded Peggy Porschen Cakes, a bespoke design company that not only reflected her life long love of baking but also celebrates beautiful craftsmanship, inspired by romance, fashion and feminity. 
Author of 3 highly acclaimed titles, Peggy is widely known to have redefined the art of modern sugarcraft.  Her first book “Pretty Party Cakes” was voted “Best Entertaining Cookbook” by Gourmand World Cookbook Awards.  Peggy also regularly contributes to a number of influential titles in the UK.  UK television credits include Rachel Allen’s Bake, Good Food Live and Wedding Experts and in her native Germany, Peggy has appeared on Johannes B. Kerner, 3 nach 9 and Wissenshunger.
Autumn 2010 saw the opening of the Peggy Porschen Parlour in London’s Belgravia.  The Parlour offers a selection of Peggy’s own teas as well as new and exclusive collection of Peggy’s Cake & Homewares.  The Parlour is also home to Peggy’s Bespoke Boutique, available on appointment only
